The ”Software Systems for Exploration and Production (E&P) Sector of Petroleum Industry” Symposium (15th November 2016)

Location: Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, Department of Geology;

Date: 15^th November 2016;

Overall purpose: Learning about the processes of exploration and production of oil, the main softwares used in this sector (Petrel, ECLIPSE), the main stepts to follow in order to get to the desired result;

Specific purpose: Learning about the main commands in Petrel and their succesion in order to identify and locate a channel, learning about the process of dynamic simulation and its components (initialization, history matching using ECLIPSE, prediction), learning about completion when it comes to the on-shore and off-shore production including the mathematical formulas, the risks, the rock deterioration etc;
