This short film aims to bring to light the aesthetic qualities and iridescent properties of labradorite. For students and geology enthusiasts of any age, iridescence (or the Schiller effect) is an optical effect that draws them deeper into mineralogy. As a former geology student, the lessons on the optical properties of minerals were some of the most fascinating ones — they made me love mineralogy even more.
