The first geological museum in Romania, with more than 25,000 samples of minerals, gemstones and rocks from all over the world. The oldest samples belong to the Krantz collection, purchased by Prof. Grigore Cobălcescu in 1888 from Dr. F. Krantz, Rheinisches Mineralien-Kontor, Bonn, Germany.
