PhD in Geology (Palynology), at Al. I. Cuza University of Iasi. The title of doctoral thesis: Palynological study of Basarabian and Chersonian from Moldavian Platform. Advisor: Prof. dr. em. Leonard Olaru.

IV. Research activity
· Identification of palynomorphs (spore, pollen, dinoflagellate);
· Research experience in determining the   leaf fossils (mainly Miocene);
· Quantitative methods for palaeoclimate reconstructions (Coexistence approach, NLR);
· Visual kerogen analysis (palynofacies description, Thermal Alteration Index, interpretation of sedimentary environments );
· Laboratory experience: disperse spores and pollen extraction, preparation of samples for TOC analysis, kerogene separation of rocks;
· Optical microscopy experience: transmitted light, reflected light fluorescence (Leica, Carl Zeiss), skilled in image processing and image enhancement software;
· Experience in using Elemental Analyzer - EuroEa 3000 (C, H, O, N, S estimate);

Field researches in in different areas of Romania (Moldavian Platform, Eastern Carpathian flysh, Apuseni Mountains);

" Grigore Cobălcescu " Award  given by the Romanian Academy for paper The palynology of the Middle and Upper Sarmatian from Moldavian Platform;
2007 Award for most valuable   PhD thesis in the Geology Domain   given by  " Al. I. Cuza " University of Iasi   in October 26;
2006Magna Cum Laude” distinction for the doctoral thesis: Palynological study of Basarabian and Chersonian from Moldavian Platform.
